Features:
This three-day course will provide the participants with an overview of state-of-the-art technology for fall protection and current OSHA requirements, including the principles of fall protection, the components of fall arrest systems, the limitations of fall arrest equipment, and OSHA policies regarding fall protection. Course Objectives: Identify various types of fall protection and their components; Recognize fall hazards and identify abatement methods for fall hazards; Define the proper use of fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems; Select proper standards for citation purposes.

Notes:
This is a three-day hybrid course. The first two days are presented virtually in real-time through Zoom. Students must attend the final day in-person at SPH- CPHWD, 300 Atrium Drive, Somerset, New Jersey, for the practicum. The OTI Education Center courses (OSHA # courses) are to be completed in the region the student lives/works (virtual or in-person). If you are not from New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands, please consult with the training manager at koshyko@rutgers.edu prior to registering. ALL trainees must provide proof of vaccination or negative PCR test from a test taken no more than 72 hours before start of the course (or first in-person day for hybrid courses). This will be verified at the time of sign-in.
