Join Rutgers School of Public Health in celebrating Constitution Day 2019. The U.S. Constitution is one of the most influential legal documents in history. This living document has influenced many countries around the world develop their own model for government. As safety and health professionals, we've witnessed the impact the OSH Act has had on protecting the lives of America's workforce. This workshop is dedicated to reviewing the origins, influence, and impact of the U.S. Constitution. Program will emphasis the effect that the OSH Act has had on worker health and safety. Features: Health and safety trainers will receive training tips they can integrate into their workshops. Questions you'll be able to answer; What gives the OSH Act the constitutional precedent to regulate safety and health (only one right answer)? 1.) The Commerce Clause. 2.) The People of the USA. 3.) William-Steiger Act. 4.) U.S. Department of Labor. 5.) Both Houses of Congress and President Nixon's Signature.
