Background:
Public warehousing and storage operations present distinct physical and environmental safety challenges. This comprehensive course examines the primary hazards and injury risks inherent in these environments, exploring critical safety protocols designed to reduce workplace incidents. Participants examine essential operational safety areas, including the safe operation of powered industrial trucks, proper material handling and ergonomic lifting techniques, hazard communication standards, walking and working surface safety, and life safety procedures encompassing fire protection and emergency evacuation. Participants learn strategies designed to recognize injury risks associated with forklifts, manual material handling, hazardous substances, and slips, trips, and falls, while mastering effective methods to control, mitigate, and abate these hazards.
