OSHA 502 Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers [Zoom]

Audience:

Who Should Take This Course?
This 3-day course is for private-sector employees who:
• Have already completed the OSHA #500 Trainer Course for the Construction Industry.
• Are current OSHA Outreach Trainers in good standing.

The course provides updates on OSHA construction standards and OSHA policies.

Prerequisites: 
Your OSHA 502 registration is pending receipt of documentation from your previous Construction Industry Course. There is no grace period for OSHA Outreach Trainer renewal.

How to Register:

Important Information About Your OSHA 502 Registration:
Your registration is not complete yet. Rutgers is waiting to receive proof that you currently have an unexpired Construction Industry Outreach Trainer card. There is no grace period for renewing your OSHA Outreach Trainer status.

To complete your registration:
Scroll to the bottom of the registration page and click “ENROLL YOURSELF.” Go to http://go.rutgers.edu/trainerupdate and upload a photo of the front and back of your current, unexpired Construction Industry Outreach Trainer card.

Both steps must be completed before you can enroll in the class.

Exclusions:
• This course is taught online through Zoom.
• OSHA # courses must be taken in the region where you live or work.
• If you do not live or work in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, contact the training manager at koshyko@rutgers.edu before registering.

Virtual Class Requirements:
• You must use a desktop or laptop computer and have your camera on and a microphone available to use for the entire class. You may not join class using a smartphone.
• Test your computer and Zoom connection before the class starts.
• If you are using a work computer or need technical assistance, arrange for your company’s IT support to be available before class and when you first log in.
• It is recommended that you join the Zoom session 15–30 minutes early to test your camera and microphone and install any Zoom updates.

Important:
If you cannot get Zoom working properly on the computer you plan to use, consider registering for an in-person class instead.
