Keynote speakers include: Sarah Mbaeyi, MD, MPH is the Medical Officer in the Office of Vaccine Policy, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Mbaeyi serves as the CDC Lead for the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) Meningococcal Vaccine Work Group, a sub-committee comprised of over 20 external expert consults, to develop meningococcal vaccine policy in the United States. She will present on ACIP updates across the lifespan and shared decision-making surrounding vaccines. Debra Blog, MD, MPH is the Director of the New York State Department of Health’s Division of Epidemiology. This division contains the Bureau of Immunization and the state’s immunization program. Dr. Blog will present on New York State’s experience with the recent measles outbreak, and its threat to the elimination of measles. In addition, exciting breakout sessions will highlight vaccine storage and handling, motivational interviewing to address vaccine hesitancy, legislative issues, and the influence of social media on vaccine hesitance.
