Benefits:
This course combines lectures, discussions and hands-on experience to accredit inspectors as per AHERA regulations (40 CFR 763) and the ASHARA Reauthorization Act. Accreditation is mandatory for anyone conducting an asbestos inspection of schools and "public and commercial" buildings. This course also satisfies the training requirement for the New York State Restricted Asbestos Handler III (Inspector) and NYC Investigator. Students must earn a grade of 70% or better on the AHERA accrediting examination to receive a certificate of course completion. Those passing the exam will receive photo identification as AHERA accredited inspectors.

Required Materials:
Note: Students must bring 2 passport-sized photos to the first day of class for an ID card or a photo may be taken in-class for $5.

Notes:
Please bring with you two passport- sized photos and a government issued photo ID. We will accept driver's licenses, passports, birth certificates, state and federal worker ID's, and university and school issued identifications. Please see our "cancellation policy" if you are unable to attend this course.
