Ecological Toxicology and Environmental Risk Assessment
Registration Fee: $700.00
Benefits:
The presence of organic and inorganic pollutants in the air, soil and water is a cause for concern. Chemicals, such as additives in gasoline to common agriculture pesticides, have been linked to cancer, reproductive and developmental disorders and other ecological catastrophes. After the toxicology is established, the next step is to assess the potential exposure and determine its environmental impact. Students will gain the necessary information to perform exposure calculations and make a hazard evaluations.
This course will further introduce students to in-depth toxicological concepts such as environmental estrogens, chemical carcinogenesis, occupational epidemiology, and reproductive and developmental toxicology.
Audience:
Public and private sector employees involved in hazard assessment.
Features:
Elements of Toxicology
Hazard Evaluation
Human Exposure Evaluation
