Benefits:
This course will help to increase awareness among healthcare, legal professionals and others about how to prevent, detect and respond to drug diversion, particularly injectable medications, in healthcare facilities/settings. The program is designed to assist participants with policy development, medication tampering identification and resources to manage a suspected drug diversion in a healthcare facility. The program will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to the growing incidence of and response to the issue of drug diversion in healthcare settings.

This program is intended for Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health System Administrators, Risk Managers, Health Educators, other health care and public health professionals

The American Nurses Credentialing Center?s Commission on Accreditation accredits the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a provider of continuing nursing education. NOTE: Payment must be received by Friday, May 19th to assure participation. A partial refund, less $20.00, will be issued for written cancellations received on or before May 24th. No refunds will be offered after May 24th. Registration / continental breakfast begins at 8:30 am.
