This five day course presents the legal and technical issues and obligations of lead inspection and risk assessment. Through lectures, discussions, demonstrations of modern XRF technology and hands-on experience, the focus is on sate-of-the-art methods for determining lead in paint, soil and dust. Course materials include HUD Guidelines, Federal US EPA and New Jersey regulations.

Building inspectors, real estate professionals, health department inspectors, housing authority officials, engineers, industrial hygienists, safety professionals, environmental consultants and XRF operators.

At the conclusion of this course students may book and take the New Jersey Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor examinations at a Pearson Vue state testing center and apply for their New Jersey Department of Health Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor Permits upon passing the state examinations.
