Juanita Constible, MS

Senior Advocate in the Natural Resources Defense Council’s (NRDC) Climate and Health, Climate & Clean Energy Program.

​

Ms. Constible works with partners to advocate for strong federal and state action to cut carbon pollution and protect communities from the health effects of climate change. Prior to joining NRDC, Constible oversaw the science and solutions department at the Climate Reality Project and later served as an adviser to the Climate Action Campaign. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from the University of Victoria in Canada, and a climate change and health certificate from the Yale School of Public Health.

Jeanne Herb is the Executive Director of the Environmental Analysis & Communications Group, at the Rutgers University Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Jeanne leads applied research projects related to environmental sustainability and policy, health equity, and climate change. She works closely with state and local decision-makers, communities, and non-governmental organizations to implement evidence-based best practices.

George DiFerdinando, Jr., MD, MPH, FACP

George T. DiFerdinando, Jr., MD, MPH, FACP, is a board-certified general internist who has combined a career in public health and higher education with a sustained professional and personal interest in the impact of behavior on physical health. He has worked in public health for over 30 years with the CDC, the NYS Department of Health, and as Deputy Commissioner and Acting Commissioner of the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services. More recently, he directed the New Jersey Center for Public Health Preparedness at the Rutgers School of Public Health.

Dr. DiFerdinando is the Chair of the Princeton Board of Health and has been active in creating that community’s recently released Climate Action Plan. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the NJ Climate Change Alliance, and lectures on the impact of climate on health for public and professional groups.
