22nd Annual Public Health Symposium
Monday, April 3, 2017
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Rutgers University Medical School
675 Hoes Lane West
Piscataway 08854
Informing your community about prevention measures for a disease outbreak?
Educating parents about the importance of vaccines?
Explaining the impact of an environmental hazard to the residents surrounding a toxic spill?
Describing the impact of climate change on vector-borne diseases?
The critical skill underlying each of these activities is the ability to communicate science in a manner that is clear, understandable, and perceived as CREDIBLE by your audience. Now, more than ever, public health professionals must be able to effectively communicate the science that informs and directs our work.
Guest Lecturers
We are delighted to have two plenary speakers for this year’s program.
