The New Jersey Department of Health, Vaccine Preventable Disease Program and Rutgers School of Public Health is pleased to announce the virtual 2022 New Jersey Immunization Conference. Immunizing Against Misinformation: Sharing Solutions on May 24, 2022, from 12-4 p.m.
The spread of vaccine misinformation on social media and other channels can impact vaccine confidence. This conference will feature educational sessions from national experts on how to communicate accurate vaccine information and recommendations, respond to gaps in information, and identify credible resources. Speakers will share strategies and tools for building trust and vaccine acceptance.

Medical (CME), Nursing (CNE), Public Health (CE), and Health Education (CHES/MCHES) credits will be provided and details will be forthcoming!
Note: This conference does NOT meet the annual education requirement for VFC and 317 providers
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES:
- Describe recent updates to ACIP recommendations
- Describe the role of shared clinical decision-making for vaccines with patients
- Identify effective and efficient vaccine-related communications
- Differentiate the credibility of vaccine information on social media platforms
- Recognize the use of storytelling when addressing vaccine hesitancy concerns
- List the necessary steps for disease reporting, which help prevent vaccine-preventable
disease outbreaks
- Describe my role, responsibilities, and scope of practice as a team member
