About

Effective leadership of workplace health and safety programs can elevate a program beyond the baseline of regulatory compliance into a dynamic system that engages the workforce and demonstrates leadership in your health and safety programs. This program goes beyond compliance and technical skills, equipping safety professionals with the leadership capabilities needed to influence organizational culture, engage stakeholders, and drive meaningful safety improvements at both the site and corporate levels.


you will develop leadership strategies that enhance your ability to lead teams, implement safety initiatives, and integrate advanced safety management practices. Whether you are a frontline safety professional or managing programs at the organizational level, this program will strengthen your ability to influence change and advance safety within your organization.


This hybrid program begins with a full-day, in-person Leadership Workshop at our training center in Somerset, NJ, followed by weekly live Zoom sessions and concludes with an in-person half-day Leadership Reinforcement Session.

The cost is $1,425 per student, which can be paid via credit card, check, or a purchase order.

Who is this for?

This program is designed for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals who are looking to improve their leadership skills, those who lead teams, and those who are looking to prepare for leadership roles. 


It is appropriate for learners across all types of organizations and disciplines. We also welcome those who have an educational background in OHS but are looking to increase their leadership skills in preparation for future professional roles. 


Participants should have a foundational understanding of health and safety principles, including hazard assessment and risk management. 


Those looking to reinforce their technical knowledge may benefit from our OSHA courses in Safety and Health Management, Incident Investigation, and Job Hazard Analysis – which are offered in series several times a year through our center. The topics and principles discussed in these courses will be foundational to some of the Health and Safety skills discussed in this program. 

 


Why Participate?

Many safety courses focus on technical compliance, but true safety leadership requires the ability to influence, communicate, and drive change. This program develops leadership skills tailored to OHS professionals, enabling participants to confidently navigate organizational challenges, engage employees, and advocate for stronger safety programs. Participants will gain actionable insights to improve safety outcomes and advance their careers in OHS leadership.

•    Half-Day Leadership Reinforcement Session


This program is hybrid - The first week and last weeks will be in-person workshops in Somerset, NJ. The remaining modules will be conducted via our learning management system and via zoom. 

This program follows a structured hybrid format:

•    Live Zoom Sessions (Tuesdays, 1pm-4pm):

o    October 13, 2026

o    October 20, 2026

o    October 27, 2026

o    November 3, 2026

o    November 10, 2026

o    November 17 2026


•    In-Person Leadership Reinforcement Session’

          o    December 1, 2026

•    Asynchronous Learning Activities: Weekly assignments, discussions, and  

       assessments on Canvas LMS.
